Oh no..this phobia is not Baloney! Check the phobia guide if you don't believe me :)
It is a fear of pins and needles!
And another tidbit of information is that... I'm glad I found a name for this, since one of my characters is really afraid of needles ;) He's not only a male, but a shifter as well :p

Cool! Does this fear also include injections? It probably does, doesn't it? Stupid question.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful new word for me!
ReplyDeleteI guess so :), Clarissa. I've never had it though.and when my shifter went wonky in front of a needle (yeah, my characters are live for me and reveal quirks while I am writing them).. I never knew that a word even existed for that! I guess A-Z is pushing the boundaries of research for me :p LOL!
ReplyDeleteSame here, Bish!
I know a lot of people who are afraid of needles, especially when being aimed at them by nurses or, even worse, dentists. I can't see that many people would be afraid of pins though.
ReplyDeleteI'm blogging the A to Z Challenge too at A to Z of Nostalgia
Hi Rosalind.. I guess it could probably be sharp, pointed, steely stuffs .. LOL.. And no, I'm not discounting "stakes" here, though they're probably silver! Thanks for dropping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Ju .. love this word - I must ask the staff whether they're belonephobic! Crumbs - not a nice thought at all ..
ReplyDeleteNow pins ... what are those dolls that get pins pushed into them - as a curse on a real person? I'd not like to be one of them!!
Cheers - Hilary
