Well..yeah, I promised myself that I wouldn't be so hung up on phobias while finding new things for this A-Z blogfest! But...but... there were only 2 phobias with I and I picked one
Ichthyophobia means : Fear of fish
I mean..if the fishes were like whales or sharks or big bad with piranha teeth, I'd agree..but I'm surely not scared of tiny li'l goldfishes in perfect round globes...but wait... I go closer to then and I see their tiny eyes in their transparent bodies ... ZOMG! I think I have Ich..whatever..phobia.... Help!!!
Also check out a "new" excerpt for my "new" release at my fab friend, Lorraine's blog.

I totally am afraid of fishes. I don't like to touch them. Ever. Once, when fishing in the Big Scioto River, I caught a Gar. If you are unfamiliar with Gar, google GAR AND THEN COVER YOUR EYES. They're like Fishigators, and the one I caught wasn't even that big. I just sort of flipped out, not knowing how to get the hook from his mouth without getting NEAR his mouth... Terror inducing.
ReplyDeleteCan totally understand. Even observing a fish too closely is enough to give me jitters..let alone touch one!!!!!
DeleteI have no fear of fish. I love it when I'm relaxing in the ocean and the little fish come around and nibble at the dead skin on my toes.
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky, Bish! I think I'm okay with the scenario you described as long as I don't view those fish up close..... :shudder:
DeleteI loved this idea for "I." Too cute. I'm just A to Z-ing it. Nice to meet you.
