For this giveaway hop, I am supposed to share a Happy Ending story ;) And the first story that came to my mind happened when I was about seven years old....and the one who got a Happy Ending in this story was.... my German Shepherd puppy
The story is pretty short and nostalgic...my dad bought us (me and my younger sis) a month old puppy. We, seeing that he was more brown than black, promptly named him "Brownie" :-D Yeah...not very creative, I know..but who'd resist a name like that? My sis (she was four then) didn't leave his side.. She cuddled him, made him lick all over her face (I am not too sure if she licked him in return too :p) and back then, we were living near a country side...and that meant, chamelons / bearded dragons were aplenty....and our sweet, yet ferocious Brownie literally strained his leash every time one ran past him..
We had fun, he had fun and it was a lovely, happy time..for about a month - rumbustious kids and equally unruly dog (In retrospect, it might mean we were ignoring his wilder tendencies, probably)... Then came the summer hols and we had to leave him with our dad, while my mom took us to our grandparents... I am still not sure what happened then, but when we returned back, my dad informed that he had to return the puppy... because it BIT him! It was the right thing to do, but back then, it was the time we went ballistic...we kicked, cried, made a fuss...screamed for a while..didn't talk to anyone for a while...
A few days passed in abject misery... and one day, my dad came and said... that one of his friends, who was really good with training dogs, took Brownie under his wing. And he was fine, doing well...and in fact, loving it there. It effectively stopped out tantrum because we were hoping he was pining for us the way we were for him, but knowing he was fine elsewhere was a eye opener.. And thankfully, instead of hating him for it, we kids resolved to feel better about it :) happy because...well.. he was fine, doing well and happy too..under someone who knew how to manage him properly.
That's the story of Brownie...our first dog!
So....are you a dog person, or a cat person or someone who prefers electronic gadgets to live pets ;)

I'm a dog person because I am deathly allergic to cats! lol My pet HEA story starts out sad but works out. Thanksgiving our dog, Bo, of 15 years was attacked by another dog and had to be put down. My sister noticed at Christmas how sad my dad still was so she bought him a puppy to cheer him up. Now Bear (the puppy) is spoiled and my dad laughs a lot more. Thanks for the giveaway.

I'm a dog person and a gadget person! But my dogs really aren't pets, they are our family members. Sometime they can be more temperamental than our two kids and they are just as spoiled!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway!

Well, I'm a bit late for your contest. I'm basically behind all the time now in reading other peep's blogs. Anyway, I love dogs. I own Sir Poops and Hair Ball. Cats are okay except for their poo boxes.
